LET IT BLOOM

Here's the final product of our project, the ebook, which presents some of the most important activities done by our students, as well as an audio-visual dictionary of the spring related vocabulary.  LET IS BLOOM (audio-visual dictionary and dissemination of the project)

 ONLINE POSTER PUZZLE My students created posters for the project, then they voted their favourite one. I didn't tell them which poster was the winner. Instead, I made them play the puzzle that was created and this way they found out the winner poster. They played on their phones and each tried to be the first one to complete the puzzle.

 SPRING BOOKMARKS My students created spring themed bookmarks for their partners on canva. Since the've learned working on canva (at least the basic steps), they could make the bookmarks alone, with no help from me.  WORDLE GAMES Here we are, playing and creating wordle games.  WORD CLOUDS These word clouds were created by my students. I showed them how to make word clouds on wordart and they created several ones by using words related to spring (spring weather, clothes worn in spring, spring free time activities). We then chose three word clouds to upload to the twinspace, as requested.

 SPRING CALENDAR Here we are, working on the spring calendar. My students were given the task to add spring pictures on canva. They took care of days 9 - 16 of each spring month. I took pictures of them working.

 KAHOOT GAME My students had a great time playing the games their friends sent them. I hosted the game online and they played on their phones. Their first question after finishing the games? Can we play next time too? They absolutely loved it! The competitive character of the game made them more focused on learning the words. This is our kahoot game for our partners.  HANDICRAFT ACTIVITY For the spring handicraft activity my students chose to make jewelry (bracelets and necklaces) in spring colours by using plastic drinking straws that they cut up into small pieces. They called them spring friendship bracelets and necklaces and they were proud to wear them afterwards.

 BAAMBOOZLE GAME The baamboozle game was a hit among my students 😁 (we happened to have a fire drill during the lesson and we almost didn't hear the buzzer announcing it. That's how loud they were cheering when they were winning the points). Playing games is always better than writing a lesson in the notebooks, right? At least that's what they always say. We also prepared a game for our friends. We hope they'll enjoy it and have just as much fun as we had. https://www.baamboozle.com/game/3274294

 POEM We also worked on the poem, this time in the traditional way, on the whiteboard. The children wrote verses with the given letters, wrote them down on the board, then we voted on paper slips. We added the verses with the most votes to the common document.

 SLOGANS My students made the posters, logos and slogans on canva at home, by themselves, as they already know how to work on canva. The tasks were divided among them, so that everyone was able participate in some way, according to their abilities. For the slogans, they came up with some simple catchy phrases in groups, then we all chose the best ones to be included on canva. Here are the two slogans they created.

 SPRING IN OUR CITY Spring picture slideshow... These pictures were taken by my students when finally spring arrived in our town. It looks like nature has dressed up in its most beautiful, flowery dress. Spring is simply amazing.

 BULLETIN BOARD Our bulletin board illustrates spring. My students came with the idea and made it all by themselves, which is why I'm even more proud of them, even though it might not seem as fancy as the other ones.

  We started creating our common Spring dictionary. There are 30 words with pictures in it. The partners will also record the meaning of these words in their own languages and the recordings will be added to it later. The Turkish , Romanian and Greek meaning of these words will be pronounced by the students. Since there are two Turkish partners from Türkiye, we divided the words between us. The pictures were also chosen and added by the students. It is our final product.

  My students created spring themed bookmarks for their friends from the partner schools. They used Canva for that. They are looking forward to the ones which will be sent from the other partner students.

  My students created wordles of spring related words like "Spring, March, Sunny, Warm etc". ı shared the links of these wordles on this page. My students are looking forward to the ones created by the other partner students :)

  My students worked in groups and each group created a spring themed word cloud (3 word clouds in total). Each word cloud is made up of Spring related words like Spring, butterfly, hiking etc. They used WordArt for the activity.

Each mixed country team is supposed to design a month. For this activity ı divided my students into three groups and each group designed their part in a month. My students designed the days from 1st to 8th for each month. The rest will be taken care of by the other partner students. We are really curious about the result :)

For this activity the partner students are supposed to design the letters of our project slogan "Spring is here. Let's clap and cheer". Our slogan is made up of two sentences. We created two mixed county teams and each team designed the letters of one sentence. It is our common product and team work. Here are the letters designed by my students :)

BANU ERGÜÇ ŞAHAN- İSTANBUL FİNANS MERKEZİ PRİMARY SCHOOL For our LET IT BLOOM Project, we decorated our school board and classroom with a spring theme.

  Here are our Spring themed handicraft products which are door ornaments. We sticked them on the classroom doors. They will be useful for visibility of our project as well.

  Our common poem is an acrostic poem. The initials of the lines in each verse form the name of a spring month (March, April, May). Each verse was created by a mixed country team( The purple lines were written by Nagihan İnegöl's students, the pink ones by Erika Ferenczi's students, the red ones by Banu Ergüç Şahan's students and the blue ones by Katerina Sgourou's students) We are proud of the result :)

  Our project poem is a common product which is created by mixed country teams. It has three verses. The initials of the lines of this acrostic poem form the names of Spring months( March, April and May) . Each verse will be created by a mixed country team. Since there are four partners in our project, we added an extra line to the last verse" MAYY" in order to involve each partner in each verse. Here are the lines created by my students.

My students created two project slogans in groups. They used internet for the words they didn't know. The slogans aren't perfect. But they did their best :)  

  Here are the photos taken in Istanbul in Spring. We have been looking forward to it for a long time. We  can't wait to enjoy the warm weather and sunshine :)
